NUEVA YORK (AP) -- Austin Wells despachó un jonrón de tres carreras para dar ventaja en la séptima entrada y añadió un doblete productor en la octava para que los New York Yankees ganaran 10-4 a los Kansas City Royals el lunes y ampliaran la diferencia en la cima de la división Este de la Liga Americana.
Los Yankees (83-61) superaron el total de victorias obtenidas en la pasada campaña y se colocaron juego y medio sobre los Orioles, quienes cayeron 12-3 en Boston.
