The Brewers' decision to demote MLB whiff leader Keon Broxton reflects how ugly his slump had gotten: 3-for-50 in his last 18 games with a .295 OPS. He was striking out 38% of the time without being an asset on defense (-7 DRS). Changing to Brett Phillips now and maybe Lewis Brinson later (1.204 OPS in the last 28 days in Triple-A) should provide a boost down the stretch.
