Deportivo strike back for point at Sporting Gijon

Deportivo came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw at relegation-battlers Sporting Gijon, but remain without a win in the Primera Division since before Christmas.
The home side had won their previous two games to move away from the drop zone and took the lead just after the half-hour mark through a deflected 20-yard strike from midfielder Jony.
Victor Sanchez's side, though, were level before half-time when Luis Alberto fired in from close range.
Gijon had chances to win the match in the second half, but striker Antonio Sanabria twice just failed to find the target.
After Deportivo made a solid start at El Molinon, the hosts went ahead on 31 minutes.
A corner from the right dropped through to Jony on the far side of the Deportivo penalty area.
The midfielder drilled an angled shot goalwards, which took a slight deflection up off a defender as it flew back past Deportivo goalkeeper German Lux.
The visitors, though, were on level terms after 41 minutes.
Lucas Perez did well to get into the left side of the Gijon penalty area and then cut the ball back to Alberto, who drilled his close-range shot up into the top corner.
Gijon were back on the offensive following the restart, and Paraguay forward Sanabria, on loan from Roma, just failed to direct Carlos Carmona's cross from the right on target.
With eight minutes left, Gijon full-back Ismael Lopez got away down the left channel and floated the ball over to the penalty area, but Sanabria could not get his header down as it went narrowly over the crossbar.
