Gladbach settle for goalless draw at home with Eintracht Frankfurt

Eintracht Frankfurt edged into the Bundesliga top six, at least for a night, after holding Borussia Monchengladbach to a goalless draw on their own patch on Friday night.

Chances were few and far between in what proved to be Gladbach's second straight 0-0 draw in front of their own fans.

Branimir Hrgota had the best chance of the opening 45 minutes while it was Oscar Wendt who went closest to breaking the deadlock in the second half, but for a fine save from Frankfurt goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky.

Frankfurt held firm to ensure the first 0-0 draw between these two sides since 1974, keeping them three points above their hosts.
