Pablo Sarabia nets late winner as Sevilla edge Leganes

Pablo Sarabia produced a stunning late winner as Sevilla survived a two-goal comeback to beat Leganes 3-2 and register a first away league success since May 2015.

The midfielder curled home from 20 yards with five minutes remaining to end Los Rojiblancos' 22-game search for victory on the road in La Liga.

Quick-fire strikes from Leganes pair David Timor and Alexander Szymanowski looked set extend the winless run after goals from Franco Vazquez and Samir Nasri had put the visitors in control at Estadio Municipal de Butarque.

Attacking midfielder Vazquez opened the scoring with 25 minutes played, rising unmarked to head into the bottom-right corner following a right-wing cross from fellow Argentinian Luciano Vietto.

Leganes, without a home win so far this season, threatened an equaliser nine minutes before the break when Ruben Perez's free kick was kept out by a diving save from Sevilla goalkeeper Sergio Rico.

On-loan Manchester City midfielder Nasri doubled the advantage 13 minutes into the second period, tapping in from just a yard out after his initial effort was denied by Leganes keeper Jon Ander Serantes.

The hosts quickly restored parity as Timor fired into the bottom-right corner from the edge of the box in the 67th minute before Szymanowski collected Perez's through ball and beat Rico from a tight angle two minutes later.

Jorge Sampaoli's side were not to be denied victory though and Sarabia claimed the decisive goal, collecting the ball on the left corner of the penalty area before bending a fine strike into the far corner.
