El inglés Sir Stirling Moss, quien corrió en la Fórmula 1 de 1951 a 1961, murió este domingo a la edad de 90 años, según anunció su esposa.
"Murió de forma plácida. Cerró los ojos y se durmió", dijo Lady Moss.
El británico logró 16 victorias, 24 podios, 16 poles y 19 vueltas rápidas en Fórmula 1. En el mundo de la F1 fue conocido como el 'campeón sin corona' debido a que, pese a su talento, no logró ningún título -aunque dicho sea de paso, se cruzó con grandes piloto como Juan Manuel Fangio.
En total, Moss ganó 194 de las 497 carreras que disputó en todas las categorías entre 1948 y 1962.
