Zlatan Ibrahimovic rounded off a successful week by netting a brace as Paris Saint Germain moved 27 points clear at the top of Ligue 1 thanks to a 4-1 demolition of Reims.
PSG's No. 9 took his tally to 22 league goals for the season with a duo of well-taken goals while Edinson Cavani rounded of an equally enjoyable few days with a first-half effort, following his strike against Chelsea in midweek.
Gregory van der Wiel had opened the scoring before Prince Oniangue briefly brought the visitors level.
PSG's players, lead by Thiago Silva, gave Ezequiel Lavezzi a rapturous send-off before kick-off following the Argentina international's decision to join Chinese Super League side Hebei China Fortune, but the hosts' remaining attacking options took little time to make an impact on Reims.
The visitors arrived having been only one of only four teams to take points of the champions this season, with a 1-1 draw at the Stade Auguste-Delaune back in Septemeber, but the writing was seemingly on the wall early on for Oliver Guegan's team.
With just 12 minutes played, Ibrahimovic released Van der Wiel into the area and the Holland international, who was deputising for disgraced fellow full-back Serge Aurier, confidently fired beyond Johann Carrasso to hand the hosts an early lead.
Despite dominating from the outset as expected, Layvin Kurzawa almost handed the visitors a lifeline shortly before the 20-minute mark when he turned Nicolas de Preville's corner goalwards but both the France international defender and PSG keeper Kevin Trapp were happy to see the ball finish the wrong side of the crossbar.
However, Trapp and Kurzawa both had their heads in their hands just after the half-hour mark when some lapse defending allowed Oniangue to beat both players to De Preville's delivery and head home, handing Reims an unlikely leveller.
The hosts' evening threatened to go from bad to worse when Angel Di Maria was forced off with an injury on 39 minutes but two quick-fire goals just before the interval handed Laurent Blanc's side a commanding lead.
Firstly, Ibrahimovic pounced to net from close range after Lucas Moura's initial shot was parried by Carrasso before Cavani got in on the act in first-half added time, racing in behind the Reims defence from Ibrahimovic's clever pass to slide home.
Blanc brought on Blaise Matuidi for the second half and the big midfielder almost made an immediate impact after combining well with Kurzawa but, despite the premature celebrations from the Parc des Princes crowd, the France international's effort nestled on the wrong side of the netting.
The Paris crowd did not have to wait long for a fourth, though, and it was that man Ibrahimovic again who smashed a well-taken volley beyond Carrasso to double his tally for the evening from Kurzawa's inviting cross.
