Cristiano Ronaldo brace as Portugal beat Estonia 7-0 in pre-Euro friendly

Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice in the first half as Portugal easily beat Estonia 7-0 in their final pre-Euro 2016 warm-up match on Wednesday.

Ronaldo, 31, had not played in any of Portugal's friendlies until now, with the Real Madrid striker resting a thigh injury that had him in doubt before starting his team's Champions League victory over Atletico Madrid.

Ricardo Quaresma scored the third Portuguese goal of the first half in the 39th minute with Ronaldo's strikes coming either side of the 32-year-old's.

Portugal manager Fernando Santos substituted Ronaldo in favour of Vieirinha at half-time, and his team went on to score three second-half goals with Estonia conceding an own goal to reach the final scoreline.

Danilo scored from a header from the centre of the penalty area following a cross in from Quaresma after a corner kick.

Following an own goal from Estonia's Karol Mets, new Bayern Munich signee Renato Sanches then found Quaresma on the right side of the box where he powered a right-footed shot past Pavel Londak.

Eder added Portugal's seventh goal of the night in the 80th minute after Andre Gomes found him in the centre of the penalty area for the assist.

Portugal open Euro 2016 Group F play against Iceland on Tuesday, June 14 (3 p.m. ET on ESPN/WatchESPN).
