Tigres beat Queretaro 2-0 in a CONCACAF Champions League semifinal second leg to secure passage to the finals by the same aggregate score.
Andre-Pierre Gignac provided both goals for the hosts, who needed 174 minutes of play over two legs to net the first goal for either team in the tie, after the first leg ended 0-0.
Tigres had several near misses during the match, including one by the French striker late in the first half. But Gignac made no doubt in the 84th minute when a cross was deflected and landed right at his feet and the No. 10 swept home past Queretaro goalkeeper Tiago Volpi.
Once the floodgates opened, it wouldn't take long for Tigres to score again. Gignac got free following a poor clearance as Queretaro pressed for an equalizer.
The Frenchman had only Volpi to beat for his second goal and made sure with a deft outside-of-the-foot chip that dribbled in to seal the 2-0 win for Ricardo Ferretti's team.
Tigres will face the winner of Tuesday's other semifinal between Santos Laguna and Club America, with both of those teams also tied 0-0 on aggregate following the first leg.
