MEXICO CITY -- After multiple tries, Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez has finally leveled Javier Borgetti's all-time scoring record with the Mexico national team and now, he is El Tri's most prolific goalscorer. What "Chicharito" has been able to achieve in the present decade will leave a hugely important mark in Mexican football history and his goals are sure to live on among Mexico supporters for many years to come.

Of his 46 goals scored for El Tri, here's a look at "Chicharito's" 10 best strikes:

10. Mexico 2-0 France, 2010 World Cup

His face said it all; "Chicharito" was in a dream. His grandfather, Tomas Balcazar, scored against France in the 1954 World Cup and now, in 2010, it was Hernandez's turn. Luckily for him, Mexico won its match 2-0 over France, while his grandfather's side fell 3-2 to Les Bleus. "Chicharito" and Cuauhtemoc Blanco scored the goals in the victory for El Tri, the former with a deft cut past the goalkeeper and pass into an empty net.

9. Mexico 1-3 Argentina, 2010 World Cup

For the second World Cup in a row, Argentina eliminated Mexico in the round of 16, but this time it was a weak performance from El Tri, which was able to make La Albiceleste suffer in 2006. The 2010 performance was embarrassing to say the least -- a walk in the park for Argentina -- but Hernandez was able to score this beautiful goal, blasting home with his left foot after a slick turn to give Mexico fans something positive to remember from a poor outing on the grand stage.

This match happened about a month after Spain had won its first-ever World Cup and it was a game scheduled to celebrate Mexico's bicentennial. "Chicharito," Giovani dos Santos and Carlos Vela were in Mexico's starting XI, and it was Hernandez who put Mexico ahead in a friendly that finished as a 1-1 tie, firing past the oncoming Iker Casillas.

7. Mexico 5-0 El Salvador, 2011 Gold Cup

Mexico tallied 22 goals in the 2011 Gold Cup and "Chicharito" scored seven of them. Against El Salvador, he finished the night with a hat trick and sealed it in style with this Panenka.

6. Mexico 2-1 Guatemala, 2011 Gold Cup

Hernandez has scored several backheel goals like the one he pulled off against Guatemala at MetLife Stadium. When he is in top form, he manages to surprise us all with his trickery; In his first campaign at Manchester United, this strike against Stoke was one that grabbed headlines.

Javier Hernandez has scored several backheel goals, but this hit in a 2-1 win against Guatemala stands out. 5. Mexico 1-1 Poland, 2011 Friendly

When Mexico made the trip to Warsaw to play against Poland, the autograph every Polish football fan wanted to get was "Chicharito's." The Mexican striker was coming off an unprecedented, historic first year with the Red Devils and was without a doubt one of Mexican football's main ambassadors, if not the most notable one. His goal to seal a 1-1 draw for Mexico showcased all of his skills inside the box.

4. Mexico 3-1 Croatia, 2014 World Cup

After four years in which "Chicharito" was able to make a name for himself in European football, head coach Miguel "Piojo" Herrera didn't include him in El Tri's starting lineup. Nevertheless, whenever the chance to play came along, Hernandez didn't waste it and against Croatia, in what turned out to be Mexico's best display in Brazil, he scored a lovely header to add to his World Cup count.

3. Mexico 3-2 Netherlands, 2014 Friendly

With a 3-2 victory over the Netherlands in Amsterdam, El Tri got some payback for the 2-1 round-of-16 loss in the 2014 World Cup. What this friendly shed light on was Vela's importance and what he could have contributed to the team that played in Brazil. Vela got a brace and "Chicharito" also added his strike in a game where the aforementioned duo showed great potential.

Pasadena, California saw "Chicharito" score one of his best goals for El Tri. This screamer, which helped Mexico earn a 1-0 victory over a strong Ecuador side, proved that Hernandez was living a good moment in his career despite having hardly played for his club, Real Madrid. This is arguably his best goal with the national team.

1. Mexico 2-0 Costa Rica, 2017 World Cup qualifying

"Chicharito" and Vela have known each other since their teenage years when they both played for Chivas, so it felt right for Vela to assist Hernandez for his historic 46th goal with El Tri. The strike will live on in the memory of everyone who was at Estadio Azteca.
