Malaga put further distance between themselves and the La Liga relegation zone with a 2-1 victory over Las Palmas.

Mauricio Lemos put Las Palmas ahead at La Rosaleda Stadium but goals from Malaga's Pablo Fornals and striker Charles turned the match on its head.

The home side were then forced to hold on with 10 men for the last 20 minutes after Jose Rodriguez picked up a second yellow card.

Victory means Malaga are now 13th in the table, 10 points clear of the bottom three and just two behind Las Palmas in 12th.
