Errol Spence Jr. said after the fight that he decided to press the action and force Kell Brook to fight at a pace he wasn't comfortable at. "He started breathing harder and getting tired, said Spence. I showed that I can overcome adversity, that I can take a punch and keep coming." When asked about a possible fight with former titleholder Keith Thurman, Spence said "Definitely. He (Thurman) said I had to prove myself, that I haven't faced anybody, and now that I've beaten Kell Brook, let's go Keith."
