Panama unable to break down Mexico in scoreless draw

Panama held Mexico to a scoreless draw at the Estadio Rommel Fernandez in Santa Clara on Tuesday night.

In a game with few chances and little open play, Panama had the best opportunities to break the deadlock but could not find a way past Guillermo Ochoa.

The draw sees both nations sitting on four points in the CONCACAF table, two points behind leaders Costa Rica after two matches played.

Mexico next take on the Ticos when CONCACAF qualifying matches resume in March 2017, while Panama head to Trinidad and Tobago.
