Granada boosted their chances of LaLiga survival as they thrashed Andalusian rivals Real Betis 4-1 at home in a contest that finished with both sides down to 10 men.
The hosts raced into a 3-0 lead thanks to Mehdi Carcela-Gonzalez's deft finish in the 18th minute, Adrian Ramos' header in the 28th and Andreas Pereira's 33rd-minute strike.
Ramos flicked in his second 19 minutes into the second half, two minutes before a skirmish between Pereira and Nahuel -- in which they pushed each other before the latter appeared to slap the former in the face -- led to both being red-carded.
Petros subsequently headed in a consolation for the visitors with 15 minutes remaining.
With the victory over 13th-placed Betis, second-bottom Granada have cut the gap between themselves and safety to two points ahead of the weekend's action.
