Pujols da HR 659, Trout da otro y los Angels vencen a Mariners
SEATTLE (AP) -- Mike Trout pegó un vuelacercas en su primera aparición en el plato como padre, Albert Pujols se acercó a Willie Mays en la lista histórica de jonrones y Los Ángeles Angels derrotaron 5-3 el martes a los Seattle Mariners.
Trout se perdió cuatro juegos por su baja de paternidad por el nacimiento de su hijo, Beckham Aaron Trout. Regresó con un jonrón solitario en el primer inning y terminó 3-1 con un boleto, en un día lleno de noticias para los Angels, donde también hizo su debut el prospecto Jo Adell.
Pujols conectó un jonrón de dos carreras hacia el final del primero para poner el 3-0 en la pizarra, con lo que sumó 659, uno por detrás de Mays en la tabla histórica.
Adell logro un sencillo al cuadro en su primer turno al bate y terminó 4-1 con un strikeout. Se esperaba que Adell, una de las jóvenes promesas que más expectación despierta, se convirtiera en el jardinero derecho principal del equipo.
