Giants derrota a Phillies de la mano de Gausman y Belt
FILADELFIA (AP) -- Brandon Belt sacudió un jonrón de dos carreras, Kevin Gausman logró escapar de problemas durante sus seis entradas de labor y los San Francisco Giants derrotaron el lunes 2-0 a los Philadelphia Phillies.
El manager de San Francisco, Gabe Kapler, se convirtió en el primer timonel en la historia de Grandes Ligas en iniciar su carrera con marca de 200-200. Kapler, quien tuvo registro de 161-163 como piloto de Philadelphia entre 2018 y 2019, fue abucheado cuando salió a entregar la alineación a los umpires.
Gausman (1-0) admitió seis imparables, otorgó cuatro bases por bolas y ponchó a cinco enemigos para reducir su efectividad a 2.45.
Matt Wisler retiró la séptima entrada en orden, Camilo Doval trabajó la octava y Wandy Peralta finalizó la blanqueada de siete hits con su segundo rescate de la campaña.
El abridor de los Phillies, Chase Anderson (0-2), permitió dos anotaciones y cinco indiscutibles en cuatro entradas de trabajo.
Los Phillies batearon de 8-0 con corredores en posición de anotar --todos ante Gausman-- y dejaron a 11 hombres en los senderos.
Anderson sacó los primeros dos outs del tercer inning hasta que Evan Longoria disparó un doblete. Belt le siguió con su tablazo a las tribunas del jardín derecho para darles a los Giants ventaja de 2-0.
Por los Giants, el venezolano Wilmer Flores de 1-0, al igual que el colombiano Donovan Solano.
Por los Phillies, el dominicano Jean Segura de 4-1.
