Jonrones de Pérez y Reynolds impulsan a Pirates sobre Indians
PITTSBURGH (AP) -- Michael Pérez y Bryan Reynolds pegó un jonrón de tres carreras durante la séptima entrada y los Pittsburgh Pirates vinieron de atrás para llevarse el sábado una victoria 6-3 sobre los Cleveland Indians.
El puertorriqueño Pérez se voló la barda ante Bryan Shaw (1-2) para poner al frente a los Pirates. Cuatro bateadores después, Reynolds conectó un jonrón en una bola rápida de 98 millas por hora de James Karinchak.
Perdiendo 2-0 al inicio de la séptima, los Pirates fueron ayudados por seis pasaportes, tres entregados por Shaw y otros tres por Karinchak. Es la mayor cantidad de pasaportes que los Pirates han recibido en una entrada desde que también embasaron a seis bateadores en 1976 contra los St. Louis Cardinals.
El cuadrangular de Pérez fue su quinto de la temporada en los 27 juegos del cátcher sustituto. Antes de esta campaña, sólo se había volado la barda en dos ocasiones en 84 encuentros.
Reynolds tiene 12 bambinazos, la mayor cantidad del equipo. Ha pegado tablazos en 16 juegos en junio al tiempo que tiene un promedio de bateo de .345.
Pittsburgh ha ganado los primeros dos juegos de la serie luego de haber sufrido una racha perdedora de 10 juegos.
