Vogelbach impulsa con sencillo y Cerveceros ganan a Rockies
DENVER (AP) -- Daniel Vogelbach rompió el empate con un sencillo en la novena y los Milwaukee Brewers se sobrepusieron a cuatro jonrones en la sexta entrada para vencer 7-6 el domingo a los Colorado Rockies.
Los Rockies estaban en desventaja 6-0 en la sexta cuando Yonathan Daza dio jonrón productor de dos carreras a Eric Lauer y Trevor Story le siguió con un batazo de 466 pies para castigar al abridor de Milwaukee.
El relevista Zack Godley permitió un sencillo y después un jonrón de 456 pies a C.J. Cron para poner el juego 6-5 sin outs. Después de retirar a uno, Joshua Fuentes empató el marcador con el cuarto jonrón de la entrada.
Fue la tercera vez en la historia de la franquicia y segunda vez en la temporada que los Rockies conectan cuatro cuadrangulares en una entrada, todas ocurrieron en Coors Field. La primera vez fue el 6 de junio de 1999 ante los Brewers, y la más reciente fue el 2 de abril contra Los Ángeles Dodgers.
Milwaukee tomó la ventaja en la novena cuando el emergente Jace Peterson pegó sencillo a Daniel Bard (3-4), se robó segunda y anotó con jugada en home con un imparable de Vogelbach.
Devin Williams (3-1) ponchó a tres en la novena para anotarse la victoria y Brad Boxberger retiró la novena para lograr su tercer salvamento en las mismas oportunidades.
