Blue Jays someten a Marlins con sólido pitcheo
MIAMI (AP) -- Robbie Ray permitió una carrera en seis entradas y tres relevistas completaron la obra de cuatro imparables para enfilar a los Toronto Blue Jays a sumar su cuarta victoria consecutiva al derrotar 3-1 a los Miami Marlins y barrer la serie de dos compromisos.
Ray (5-3) ponchó a seis rivales para llegar a 103 en 79 entradas y dos tercios en la actual temporada. Jordan Romano se sobrepuso a un doble para abrir la novena entrada y concretó su quinto rescate en seis oportunidades y el segundo en igual número de noches.
Bo Bichette pegó dos hits, produjo una carrera y anotó otra por los Blue Jays, que colocaron su marca en juegos interligas en 13-2, incluida la de 4-0 ante Miami.
El dominicano Starling Marte disparó su sexto jonrón en el sexto inning por los Marlins, que han sido superados 7-2 en sus últimos tres compromisos, todos derrotas.
