Rockies anota 2 en la 9na y se impone a Nationals
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Elías Díaz conectó el cuadrangular del empate y Brendan Rodgers aportó un sencillo productor para que los Colorado Rockies remontaran en el noveno inning, con lo cual se impusieron el viernes 9-8 a los Washington Nationals.
En el primer juego de la serie entre dos equipos que no tienen ya posibilidades de avanzar a los playoffs, los Rockies mejoraron a un registro de 6-1 en su gira.
El venezolano Díaz logró su jonrón ante Kyle Finnegan (5-8) en el inicio del noveno episodio, para igualar la pizarra 8-8. Un sencillo, un robo, un boleto y un sacrificio antecedieron al turno de Rodgers.
Antes de su sencillo, Rodgers bateó un jonrón, lo mismo que Sam Hilliard.
Los Nationals perdían por 7-6 en el octavo episodio, cuando el emergente Ryan Zimmerman bateó un doble y anotó en un sencillo del venezolano Alcides Escobar, lo cual empató la pizarra. El dominicano Juan Soto recibió un boleto en cuatro lanzamientos seguidos del zurdo Lucas Gilbreath (2-1) para llenar la casa y Josh Bell pegó una roleta que dio la ventaja a Washington.
Por los Rockies, los venezolanos Díaz de 4-1 con una anotada y una empujada, Germán Márquez de 1-0.
Por los Nationals, los venezolanos Escobar de 5-2 con una empujada, Keibert Ruiz de 5-3 con una anotada y una producida. El dominicano Soto de 2-1 con una anotada. El cubano Yadiel Hernández de 5-1.
