Crowe logra 1er triunfo desde julio y Pirates se impone a Marlins
MIAMI (AP) -- Wil Crowe ganó por primera vez desde el 30 de julio, y los Pittsburgh Pirates superaron el viernes 2-1 a los Miami Marlins.
Crowe (4-7) permitió una carrera en cinco entradas, durante las que toleró tres imparables. Recetó cinco ponches y entregó un boleto.
La actuación del derecho puso fin a una racha de cinco encuentros consecutivos en que se había ido sin decisión.
Bryan Reynolds gestionó un par de bases por bolas y conectó un doblete, mientras que Anthony Alford sumó un par de imparables por Pittsburgh.
Cole Tucker pegó un elevado de sacrificio que rompió la igualdad en el sexto episodio. El abridor venezolano Elieser Hernández entregó boletos a Colin Moran y Jacob Stallings, antes de un pásbol del cátcher Payton Henry, que permitió a los corredores avanzar.
Anthony Banda relevó a Crowe y cubrió un inning y un tercio en blanco. Nick Mears sacó los últimos dos outs del séptimo capítulo, y Chad Kuhl siguió con una octava entrada perfecta.
El taponero de los Pirates, Chris Stratton, permitió un triple del dominicano Bryan De La Cruz en el comienzo de la novena entrada. Sin embargo, ponchó al también quisqueyano Jesús Sánchez y a Lewis Brinson.
