Scherzer lanza siete ceros a Reds para dar triunfo a Dodgers
CINCINNATI (AP) -- Max Scherzer resolvió siete innings en blanco al cumplir otra actuación sobresaliente con Los Ángeles Dodgers, quienes vencieron el sábado 5-1 a los Cincinnati Reds para seguir buscando el cetro en la División Oeste de la Liga Nacional.
Los Dodgers comenzaron la jornada dos juegos debajo de los San Francisco Giants, líderes divisionales, que por la noche enfrentaban a Atlanta Braves.
Cincinnati sufrió otra dura derrota. Los Reds llegaron al compromiso un juego detrás de St. Louis Cardinals, en la disputa por el segundo boleto de comodín a los playoffs en la Liga Nacional.
Scherzer (15-4) mejoró a una foja de 7-0 en nueve aperturas desde el 30 de julio, cuando fue cedido por los Washington Nationals a los Dodgers en un canje. Permitió sólo dos hits y repartió siete ponches.

Sonny Gray (7-8) retiró a sus primeros 11 enemigos, antes de que Trea Turner bateara un sencillo dentro del cuadro en el cuarto acto. Luego, la labor defensiva de los Reds lo defraudó.
