Gallen y Marte ayudan a Diamondbacks en triunfo ante Dodgers
PHOENIX (AP) -- Ketel Marte y Carson Kelly dispararon sendos jonrones en el amanecer del juego ante Clayton Kershaw y encaminaron el sábado a los Arizona Diamondbacks hacia una victoria de 7-2 sobre Los Ángeles Dodgers.
Zac Gallen lanzó pelota de una carrera a lo largo de seis innings para que Arizona impidiera que los Dodgers llegaran a 100 triunfos en la campaña.
Los Dodgers (99-56) siguieron detrás de San Francisco Giants, líder de la División Oeste de la Liga Nacional, quedando a dos juegos de distancia. El equipo que quede segundo será anfitrión del duelo de comodines, el 6 de octubre, probablemente ante St. Louis Cardinals, que ha impuesto un récord de la franquicia con 15 triunfos en fila.
Gallen (3-10), quien no había ganado desde el 26 de agosto ante Philadelphia Phillies, repartió seis ponches en los primeros dos innings.
Marte, quien contribuyó con tres de los nueve hits de Arizona, bateó un cuadrangular al bosque izquierdo al primer lanzamiento de Kershaw. Kelly abrió el segundo acto con un garrotazo que depositó la pelota en el bullpen de los Diamondbacks, detrás del jardín izquierdo.
Cada bateador consiguió su 13er cuadrangular de la temporada por Arizona, que es uno de los dos peores equipos de la campaña, con 105 derrotas.
Kershaw (10-8) laboró sólo cuatro innings y un tercio en los que aceptó seis hits y cuatro carreras --tres limpias. No dio boletos y repartió tres ponches.
