SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- Connor Joe sacudió un jonrón ante su equipo anterior, y los Pittsburgh Pirates superaron el martes 2-1 a los San Francisco Giants, que los habían derrotado en sus cinco duelos anteriores.
Los Pirates se colocaron de nuevo en la marca de .500 (27-27), luego de ubicarse en foja deficitaria por primera vez desde que estuvieron en 1-2. Pittsburgh ha tenido un registro de 7-19 tras comenzar la campaña con 20-8.
Joe, quien jugó para San Francisco en 2019, bateó su cuadrangular ante John Brebbia en el primer inning. Michael Conforto igualó el encuentro con un sencillo productor en la parte baja del episodio.
Pittsburgh anotó la carrera de la ventaja en la quinta entrada, apoyado por un error de los Giants. Con un out y el dominicano Rodolfo Castro en la inicial, Jason Delay bateó un sencillo al bosque izquierdo.
