Tatis consigue vuelacercas y Padres blanquean 6-0 a Cachorros
SAN DIEGO (AP) - Yu Darvish repartió nueve ponches en siete innings dominantes, el dominicano Fernando Tatis Jr. disparó dos vuelacercas y los San Diego Padres blanquearon el sábado 6-0 a los Chicago Cubs.
Darvish (4-4) se sobrepuso de manera estupenda de la mala salida del 28 de mayo, cuando permitió siete carreras en dos innings y dos tercios para caer por 10-7 ante los New York Yankees.
Ante los Cachorros, tuvo control total y mantuvo confundidos a sus adversarios, permitiendo sólo dos sencillos -los únicos hits de Chicago en el encuentro. Otorgó un solo un boleto.
Tatis bateó un cuadrangular en solitario en el tercer acto y uno de tres carreras en el octavo. Llegó a 11 vuelacercas en la temporada, y logró más de un jonrón en un encuentro por décima ocasión en su carrera.
Los dos batazos desaparecieron la esférica entre el jardín izquierdo y el central.
Nick Martínez repartió dos ponches en el octavo inning y Brent Honeywell recetó uno en el noveno para completar la blanqueada.
El derrotado fue el abridor Drew Smyly (5-3) con una labor de cinco entadas y dos tercios, en la que permitió tres anotaciones y siete imparables.
Por los Cachorros, el puertorriqueño Edwin Ríos d 3-0.
Por los Padres, el mexicano Alfonso Rivas de 1-0. Los dominicanos Tatis de 5-2 con dos anotadas y cuatro remolcadas, Juan Soto de 3-1, Manny Machado de 4-1, Gary Sánchez de 3-1 con una anotada.
