Venezolano Luis Rengifo es el héroe en triunfo de Angels
ANAHEIM, California, EE.UU. (AP) - El venezolano Luis Rengifo empató la pizarra con un jonrón y añadió un sencillo que dio la ventaja a los Angelinos de Los Ángeles, quienes remontaron para vencer el miércoles 6-2 a los Cachorros de Chicago.
Mike Trout bateó un jonrón y Mickey Moniak agregó un doble de tres carreras a la causa de Chicago. Ambos aportaron además buenas jugadas defensivas.
Los Ángeles ostenta ahora su primera seguidilla de tres victorias en dos semanas, tras imponerse dos veces sobre los Cachorros, en el comienzo de una estadía en casa.
Ben Joyce (1-0), relevista especializado en la recta, se llevó su primera victoria en las mayores con los Angelinos, tras un sexto inning turbulento. El derecho hizo 20 de sus 27 lanzamientos a más de 100 mph, pero llenó las bases antes de retirar a Trey Mancini con un rodado.
Trout abrió el cuarto inning sonando su 14to jonrón de la temporada. Rengifo vino después con sus dos batazos cruciales.
Sacudió su jonrón solitario ante Jameson Taillon (1-4) en el quinto acto y consiguió un sencillo productor frente a Mark Leiter Jr. en el sexto.
Por los Cachorros, el panameño Miguel Amaya de 3-1 con una empujada.
Por los Angelinos, el venezolano Rengifo de 4-2 con dos anotadas y dos producidas.
