Pirates superan a Cubs con seis efectivas entradas de Keller
CHICAGO (AP) -- Mitch Keller lanzó seis efectivas entradas, Nick Gonzales bateó un sencillo remolcador de dos carreras y los Pittsburgh Pirates derrotaron 3-2 a los Chicago Cubs el domingo.
Jack Suwinski pegó otro cuadrangular en contra de Jameson Taillon mientas Pittsburgh cerró una gira con marca de 4-3 ganando tres de cuatro a Chicago. Gonzales, Andrew McCutchen y Jared Triolo cada uno consiguió dos de los 10 imparables de los Pirates.
Keller mejoró su marca a 3-0 con efectividad de 1.29 en tres salidas en mayo. El diestro permitió dos carreras y dos imparables, ponchó a tres y dio tres bases por bolas.
Keller (5-3) ha trabajado al menos cinco entradas en sus últimas 41 salidas, la racha activa más extensa en las mayores.
Seiya Suzuki y el dominicano Christopher Morel cada uno bateó un elevado de sacrificio por Chicago, que fue limitado a 10 carreras y 18 hits en la serie. Taillon (3-2) cargó con tres carreras y seis imparables en cuatro entradas y dos tercios.
