Con grand slam de India y jonrón de 3 carreras de Steer, Reds superan a Dodgers
CINCINNATI (AP) -- Jonathan India disparó un grand slam en una quinta entrada en que Cincinnati anotó seis carreras, Spencer Steer añadió jonrón de tres carreras y los Cincinnati Reds aprovecharon un pobre pitcheo para derrotar el viernes 9-6 a Los Ángeles Dodgers.
Stuart Fairchild también bateó cuadrangular por los Reds y le robó un vuelacercas a Will Smith con una atrapada espectacular en lo más profundo del jardín central en la séptima entrada. En la sexta, Fairchild alcanzó un largo batazo de Mookie Betts en la barda que sin duda hubiera sido un extrabase.
Cincinnati fue superado en imparables 11-6 por los Dodgers, pero capitalizó las bases por bolas y el haber recibido pelotazos, con lo que dejó puesta la mesa tanto para el batazo de tres carreras de Steer en la primera como para el grand slam de India en la quinta.
India salió de un bache en que se fue de 16-0 con tres imparables.
El abridor de los Reds, Graham Ashcraft (4-3), trabajó cinco entradas y un tercio, permitiendo cinco carreras y ocho imparables, además de recetar tres ponches.
Chris Taylor y Betts conectaron dobles productores en el segundo acto, en el que Los Ángeles consiguió cuatro carreras. Will Smith añadió un jonrón solitario al jardín derecho en la quinta.
Por los Dodgers, el dominicano Teóscar Hernández bateó de 2-2 con dos carreras anotadas y una remolcada.
