BOSTON (AP) - Jack Flaherty toleró una carrera en seis innings y dos tercios, Akil Baddoo, Riley Greene y el colombiano Gio Urshela conectaron sendos vuelacercas, y los Tigres de Detroit blanquearon el jueves 5-0 a los Medias Rojas de Boston.
Flaherty (2-4) no permitió un solo imparable durante seis entradas y un tercio. El juego sin hit se rompió cuando Rob Refsnyder, jardinero de Boston, bateó un sencillo al jardín central, en cuenta de 3-2.
El otro pelotero de Boston que se embasó ante Flaherty fue el dominicano Rafael Devers, quien inauguró el quinto acto con un boleto.
