Orioles se valen de gran 2do inning para vapulear a Yankees
NUEVA YORK (AP) -- Cedric Mullins logró un jonrón de dos carreras que encendió un ataque de seis anotaciones en la segunda entrada, y los Baltimore Orioles le cayeron a palos al novato dominicano Luis Gil desde los albores, para apabullar el jueves 17-5 a los New York Yankees.
Gunnar Henderson se embasó en cuatro ocasiones durante una tarde con temperatura de 32 grados Celsius, para que los Orioles mejoraran a una foja de 5-2 ante los Yankees y establecieran una marca de las Grandes Ligas, al ganar su 22da serie consecutiva ante un rival de la División Este de la Liga Americana.
Según el Elias Sports Bureau, los Orioles rompieron el récord establecido por los Atlanta Braves, (1998-2000), los Milwaukee Brewers (1991-92) y los Cincinnati Reds (1975 y 1969-70).
Henderson consiguió tres hits, incluido un par de dobletes, para ampliar a 27 juegos su seguidilla de embasado, la más larga que esté activa en las mayores. Su seguidilla pegando de hit es de 13 compromisos, la mayor en su carrera.
