SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Ian Happ bateó un jonrón en la décima entrada, Nico Hoerner totalizó tres imparables, incluido un cuadrangular, y los Chicago Cubs cortaron una seguidilla de cuatro derrotas, al imponerse el jueves 5-3 sobre los San Francisco Giants.
Happ disparó su cuadrangular por todo el jardín central ante Luke Jackson (4-2), cuando el corredor automático Cody Bellinger estaba en la intermedia.

Hoerner pegó un cuadrangular de dos carreas ante Jordan Hicks en el tercer acto. Chicago amplió su ventaja en ese mismo episodio, con un triple productor de Seiya Suzuki.
