SAN DIEGO (AP) -- Dylan Cease permitió un hit y ponchó a 11 en seis entradas dominantes para guiar el sábado a los San Diego Padres a una victoria 4-0 sobre los Atlanta Braves.
El venezolano David Peralta conectó tres hits e impulsó dos carreras, su compatriota Luis Arráez, elegido al Juego de Estrellas, pegó tres hits y remolcó una carrera, y el dominicano Manny Machado conectó su 13er jonrón entre sus tres hits para los Padres.
San Diego rompió una racha de cinco derrotas consecutivas. Solo había anotado cinco carreras en sus cuatro juegos anteriores.
Cease (8-8) lanzó 69 strikes en 106 lanzamientos y sus 149 ponches en la primera mitad de la temporada establecieron un récord de los Padres, superando los 138 de Andy Benes en 1994.
