Steelers resisten para llevarse un triunfo apretado sobre Texans
PITTSBURGH (AP) -- James Conner corrió para 109 yardas y el touchdown de la ventaja a mediados del último cuarto y los Pittsburgh Steelers permanecieron invictos al remontar para vencer este domingo 28-21 a los Houston Texans.
Los Steelers se colocaron 3-0 por primera vez en una década al contener defensivamente a los Texans en la segunda mitad. Houston logró apenas 51 yardas y consiguió dos primeros intentos después del descanso y dejaron escapar una ventaja de 11 puntos. Los Texans dejaron su registro en 0-3.
Houston inició con el mismo récord en el 2018 y se recuperó para ganar la División Sur de la AFC. Eso podría ser más complicado luego que esta semana la defensiva no pudo encontrar la manera de contener el ataque terrestre rival. La defensiva N° 31 de la NFL contra la carrera se desgastó en la segunda mitad y los Steelers sentenciaron el encuentro de manera metódica.
El juego cambió a principios del último cuarto, cuando el quarterback de Houston, DeShaun Watson, lanzó a una doble cobertura en lo profundo del territorio de Pittsburgh y con su equipo al frente 21-20.
