Ben Roethlisberger se luce en victoria de Steelers sobre Ravens
PITTSBURGH -- Ben Roethlisberger lanzó seis pases de touchdown nuevamente e impulsó a los Pittsburgh Steelers para batir por 43-23 a los Baltimore Ravens.
Una semana después de alcanzar 522 yardas aéreas y lanzar seis anotaciones contra Indianapolis, Roethlisberger se sacudió un inicio lento y repartió anotaciones a placer: dos para Martavis Bryant, y sendas para Le'Veon Bell, Markus Wheaton, Antonio Brown y Matt Spaeth.
Los Ravens tomaron ventaja temprana de 7-0 tras un balazo de 35 yardas desde Joe Flacco hasta Torrey Smith, pero Pittsburgh se montó en una actuación defensiva imponente que nunca dio un respiro a Flacco de ese punto en adelante.
Al medio tiempo, la organización de Pittsburgh rindió homenaje a "Mean" Joe Greene al retirar su jersey N° 75. El legendario tackle defensivo es apenas el 2° miembro de la franquicia que ve su número enaltecido.
Greene se dijo "abrumado" con la emoción al tiempo que diversos ex jugadores de Pittsburgh, como Lynn Swann, Franco Harris, John Stalworth, entre otros.
Los 12 touchdown que lanzó Roethlisberger en el curso de dos partidos rompieron la marca de Tom Flores fijada en 1963 con Oakland y empatada en el 2007 por Tom Brady.
Flacco terminó con 303 yardas, dos touchdowns y una intercepción para los Ravens (5-4), que cayeron al último puesto de la división AFC Norte.
