Rams aseguran título divisional con triunfo en Detroit
DETROIT -- Todd Gurley corrió para 132 yardas y dos anotaciones, en un duelo en que los Los Angeles Rams se sobrepusieron a un mal inicio para vencer este domingo 30-16 a los Detroit Lions, con lo cual aseguraron su segundo título consecutivo en la División Oeste de la Conferencia Nacional.
Los Rams (11-1) dieron además otro paso hacia la conquista del sembrado N° 1 durante los playoffs en la NFC, tomando una ventaja de un juego sobre los New Orleans Saints, que fueron derrotados el jueves por los Dallas Cowboys.
Esa ventaja es absolutamente necesaria para que los Rams logren su objetivo, dado que su única derrota de la campaña llegó el mes pasado frente a los propios Saints.
Los Lions (4-8) han perdido cinco de seis compromisos luego que una buena racha les dio una foja positiva a finales de octubre.
La defensiva de Detroit anuló el poderoso ataque de Los Angeles durante tres periodos. Así, se llegó a vislumbrar una sorpresa.
Pero los Lions desaprovecharon la oportunidad, luego que su ofensiva se mostró incapaz de mover el balón y de anotar.
