Haniger y France comandan triunfo de Mariners sobre Astros
SEATTLE (AP) -- Ty France conectó un jonrón de dos anotaciones, seis lanzadores de Seattle se combinaron para permitir apenas un imparable y los Seattle Mariners derrotaron el domingo 7-2 a los mermados Houston Astros.
France siguió al triple de dos carreras de Mitch Haniger con un cuadrangular de dos anotaciones al jardín izquierdo durante un ataque decisivo de cuatro carreras en el quinto inning para ayudar a los Mariners a quedarse con la serie. Seattle ha ganado cuatro de cinco encuentros y ha remontado desventajas en seis de sus 10 triunfos.
Haniger y France, primero y segundo en el orden al bate, también conectaron dobletes productores consecutivos en el séptimo inning. France se ha embasado en 14 de 16 compromisos esta campaña.
La derrota fue la séptima para Houston en sus últimos ocho partidos y ocurrió con cinco peloteros --incluyendo cuatro titulares-- en la lista de lesionados en relación con el COVID-19.

Ljay Newsome (1-0), Casey Sadler, Anthony Misiewicz, Rafael Montero y Drew Steckenrider se combinaron para cinco entradas de relevo sin conceder hit.
El bullpen de los Mariners tiene foja de 6-1 con cinco rescates en sus últimos 11 partidos, concediendo apenas seis carreras limpias en 35 innings y dos tercios.
El abridor de Houston, Jake Odorizzi (0-2), ponchó a siete y dio tres bases por bolas en cuatro entradas y un tercio. Permitió tres hits pero fue retirado del encuentro después de que el triple de Haniger en la quinta entrada colocó el marcador 3-2. Aledmys Díaz conectó el único imparable de los Astros, un doblete productor en la segunda entrada.
