Mariners vence a Dodgers con 2 jonrones y gema de Moore
SEATTLE (AP) -- El novato Taylor Trammell disparó un jonrón y un doble remolcador clave, el tercera base Dylan Moore frustró un rally de los Dodgers con una impresionante jugada defensiva en el séptimo inning y los Seattle Mariners derrotaron el lunes por 4-3 a Los Ángeles Dodgers en un duelo entre líderes divisionales.
Seattle propició la segunda derrota al hilo de los Dodgers, su peor racha en lo que va de temporada. Se apoyó en un par de batazos largos ante el abridor de Los Ángeles, Dustin May (1-1), quien cargó con la derrota, y en un sólido arranque de Justus Sheffield.
El dominicano José Marmolejos abrió la cuenta de los Mariners con un cuadrangular de dos carreras en el primer episodio que apenas superó la cerca del jardín derecho. Trammell, una de las principales jóvenes promesas de Seattle, sacudió un jonrón solitario que se marchó entre los jardines izquierdo y central en el segundo, y su doble remolcador con dos outs en el cuarto se benefició de un error del segunda base Chris Taylor para dar a su equipo una ventaja de 4-2.
La victoria fue para Sheffield (1-1) tras cinco innings y dos tercios en los que cedió cuatro hits, dio tres pases por bolas y abanicó a seis. El dominicano Rafael Montero trabajó el noveno para su tercer salvamento.
