MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - El venezolano Pablo López ponchó a ocho en seis sólidas entradas, Max Kepler conectó un jonrón y los Minnesota Twins extendieron su racha ganadora a 12 juegos con una victoria el sábado por 3-1 sobre los Boston Red Sox.
Los Twins tienen la racha ganadora más larga en las Grandes Ligas esta temporada e iguala la del equipo de finales de la década de 1980´s, segunda más larga en la historia de la franquicia. El récord del club de 15 victorias consecutivas data de junio de 1991, la última temporada en que Minnesota ganó la Serie Mundial.
Kepler y el boricua Willi Castro conectaron dos hits cada uno, el también puertorriqueño Carlos Correa impulsó dos carreras y Cole Sands lanzó una última entrada en blanco para su segundo salvamento.
El venezolano Wilyer Abreu y Dominic Smith conectaron dos imparables cada uno para Boston, que ha perdido tres juegos consecutivos.
López permitió cinco hits y ponchó a siete de los últimos 12 bateadores que enfrentó.
Boston lleva seis partidos consecutivos sin un jonrón, su racha más larga desde seis seguidos del 23 al 28 de abril de 2022.
