Astros supera a Rays, con 2 boletos en la 9na
HOUSTON (AP) -- El relevista JT Chargois entregó dos boletos con las bases llenas en la novena entrada, lo que permitió a los Houston Astros superar el martes 4-3 a los Tampa Bay Rays para cortar una racha de cuatro derrotas consecutivas.
Los Astros se acercaron a la meta de garantizar su boleto de postemporada. Podrían coronarse en la División Oeste de la Liga Americana por cuarta vez en cinco años.
Alex Bregman y el venezolano José Altuve conectaron vuelacercas solitarios por los Astros, que remontaron para llevarse el triunfo.
Los Rays tomaron la ventaja por 3-2 cuando el cubano Randy Arozarena disparó un jonrón solitario ante Phil Maton (5-0), con un out en la novena entrada.
El cubano Yordan Álvarez bateó un rodado de sencillo frente a Josh Fleming para comenzar el noveno episodio de Houston, y fue reemplazado por el emergente dominicano José Siri. El boricua Carlos Correa se embasó en una jugada de selección con un potente roletazo al intermedista Brandon Lowe.
