Kyrie Irving donará $323 mil a la organización sin fines de lucro Feeding America

El base de los Brooklyn Nets, Kyrie Irving, aseguró el lunes que donará $323 mil a Feeding America, una organización sin fines de lucro que ayuda a que personas necesitadas puedan obtener alimentos.

Irving, además, pidió a los fanáticos y familiares que contribuyan.

Thank you all for the birthday love, I'm extremely grateful for the support. Seeing the effects of COVID-19 reach our loved ones, our schools, our jobs, and access to food has really impacted me. I am excited to partner with @feedingamerica and @lineagelogistics to launch the Share A Meal campaign to help marginalized communities get the food resources they require during this time, and to work with our local partner @cityharvestnyc to distribute 250k meals to my neighbors in need across the NY area. In addition to that I am donating $323k to Feeding America and @lineagelogistics will match $200k of what we raise together. El estelar armador se unió a City Harvest, organización con sede en Nueva York para garantizar que se distribuyan 250,000 comidas a los neoyorquinos.

"Ver los efectos del COVID-19 (coronavirus) llegar a nuestros seres queridos, nuestras escuelas, nuestros trabajos me ha impactado. Estoy entusiasmado de lanzar la campaña 'Share A Meal' y ayudar a las comunidades marginadas a obtener los recursos alimenticios que necesitan durante este tiempo", destacó Irving en las redes sociales.

Irving firmó con los Nets en julio de 2019 y se sometió a una cirugía de hombro que terminó su temporada en febrero. El guardia promedió 27.4 puntos y 6.4 asistencias en 20 compromisos.
