Struggling Pescara scored an own goal, had a man sent off and missed a penalty in their 1-1 Serie A draw at home to Sampdoria.
The hosts went behind in the 12th minute when Hugo Campagnaro nodded a cross into his own net, but the Argentinian defender made amends by heading the equaliser 11 minutes later.
Pescara lost Andrea Coda to a second yellow card in the 45th minute, but had a chance to go in front from the spot six minutes after the break.
Gianluca Caprari, though, could only fire his effort straight at Emiliano Viviano.
The point apiece ensured Sampdoria remained one point ahead of their opponents.
