La peleadora peso mosca del UFC, Paige VanZant, anunció a través de su cuenta de Twitter que se fracturó el brazo derecho en la derrota por decisión frente a Jessica-Rose Clark en St. Louis.
La lesión ocurrió cuando VanZant (7-4) lanzó un puñetazo giratorio en el segundo round de su combate a tres asaltos, el cual finalizó.

La incapacidad de VanZant para lanzar golpes o defenderse efectivamente con ese brazo a partir de ese momento aparentemente fue factor en la segunda derrota consecutiva de VanZant y tercera de sus últimos cuatro combates.
