El martes en la tarde, el mundo del béisbol de Grandes Ligas y del deporte en general en Estados Unidos se sacudió ante la noticia del fallecimiento del exlanzador Roy Halladay, al estrellarse su avioneta en la costa de Florida del Golfo de México a los 40 años de edad.
De inmediato, las redes sociales se llenaron de mensajes de condolencias ante la prematura partida de un lanzador querido por todos en todo el deporte.
Halladay fue un ocho veces Todos Estrellas y tuvo marca de 203-105 con efectividad de 3.38 en sus 16 años de carrera con los Azulejos de Toronto y los Filis de Filadelfia. Lanzó un juego perfecto durante la temporada 2010 y un juego sin hits en esa misma postemporada.
