Lucas Moura scores twice to help PSG win at Guingamp

Lucas Moura grabbed his first brace of the season as Paris Saint Germain warmed up for their Champions League second-leg clash against Manchester City with a routine 2-0 win in Guingamp.

Despite losing the same fixture last season, Laurent Blanc's much-changed side showed no signs of jitters as they claimed maximum points for the 26th time this season to move a huge 25 points clear of second-placed Lyon - although the win came at a cost as goalkeeper Kevin Trapp suffered an injury.

PSG began the match with their youngest starting 11 in more than 20 years and one of those youngsters, Hervin Ongenda, almost created the first goal early on but Blaise Matuidi saw his effort saved by Jonas Lossl after the 20-year-old striker teed him up.

The hosts reacted well, though, and only the linesman's flag prevented the first goal of the match after Jimmy Briand had beaten Kevin Trapp from an offside position on 10 minutes.

Marquinhos was next to deny l'EAG, clearing off the line following a goalmouth scramble, as Jocelyn Gourvennec's side looked for a repeat of last year's 1-0 win.

Both sides had decent chances before the break but Mevlut Erding failed to beat Trapp when faced only with the PSG keeper before neither Gregory van der Viel nor Lucas were able to convert Ongenda's corner.

PSG were forced into a concerning change, ahead of their second-leg clash with Man City, when Trapp was forced off following a painful-looking clash with Layvin Kurzawa in the first half.

Despite that disruption, though, the champions took an early second-half lead when Jeremy Sorbon hauled down Christopher Nkunku inside the area and referee Fredy Fautrel pointed at the spot.

One of the more experienced PSG players on the pitch, Lucas, took charge and confidently sent Lossl the wrong way from the penalty spot with a smart finish on 56 minutes.

And PSG stamped their authority on the game with just less than 20 minutes left to play when Kurzawa's well-timed cutback was controlled and dispatched beyond Lossl by Lucas for his second of the game.

Briand attempted to offer a response for the hosts after cutting in and beating Marquinhos but the former Lyon forward's effort flew some distance wide of Salvatore Sirigu's goal.

The same player threatened again as added time loomed but his header from a corner failed to trouble Sirigu as PSG easily saw out the 2-0 win.
