Este domingo por la mañana falleció el ex mariscal de campo de los Green Bay Packers y miembro del Salón de la Fama, Bart Starr, a los 85 años de edad.
A través de un comunicado, el comisionado de la NFL, Roger Goodell, lamentó la muerte de Starr.
"Bart Starr fue una de las personas más genuinas y sinceras que conocí", declaró Goodell en el comunicado. "Personificaba los valores de nuestra liga como jugador de fútbol americano, hombre de familia y filántropo incansable que se preocupaba profundamente por ayudar a los niños en riesgo.
"Por encima de todo, fue un ser humano maravilloso que será recordado por su amabilidad y compasión. A nombre de toda la familia de la NFL y aficionados del fútbol americano de todo el mundo, enviamos nuestras más sinceras condolencias a su esposa, Cherry, a su familia y la comunidad de Green Bay. Se le extrañará profundamente".

Bart Starr was a true gentleman and one of the kindest people I knew. I had elbow surgery following our '95 Super Bowl in Birmingham and Bart made a visit to the hospital. To this day, not sure how he even knew I was there. #ripbart
