PARÍS -- Los argentinos Lionel Messi, delantero de Barcelona, Sergio Agüero, de Manchester City, Gonzalo Higuaín y Paulo Dybala, de Juventus, son, por ahora, los argentinos nominados al Balón de Oro al mejor jugador concedido por la revista France Football.
El uruguayo Luis Suárez y el brasileño Neymar, ambos de Barcelona, el español Sergio Ramos de Real Madrid y el chileno Arturo Vidal de Bayern Munich fueron los últimos nombres en entrar en la lista de los 30 nominados al galardón.
En la quinta y sexta tanda de candidatos, también está el central luso-brasileño de Real Madrid Pepe, Manuel Neuer arquero de Bayern, el francés Dimitri Payet de West Ham, Paul Pogba de Manchester United, el arquero portugués Rui Patrício de Sporting de Portugal y el delantero inglés Jamie Vardy de Leicester City.
En las anteriores entregas, France Football había incluido al argentino Messi, del Barcelona, a los madridistas Cristiano Ronaldo y Gareth Bale o a los jugadores del Atlético de Madrid, el francés Antoine Griezmann y el uruguayo Diego Godín.
A Ramos, se unieron otros dos españoles: Andrés Iniesta, de Barcelona y su compatriota Koke, de Atlético Madrid.
También están en la lista el mediocampista croata Luka Modric y y el alemán Toni Kroos, de Real Madrid; el delantero alemán Thomas Müller, de Bayern; el delantero argelino Riyad Mahrez de Leicester y el meta francés Hugo Lloris, de Tottenham.
Se suman a ellos, el belga Kevin de Bruyne, del Manchester City; el italiano Gianluigi Buffon; y el gabonés Pierre-Emerick Aubemayang, de Borussia Dortmund.
También figuran el sueco Zlatan Ibrahimovic, de Manchester United, y el polaco Robert Lewandowski, del Bayern Munich.
"France Football" desveló a lo largo del día los 30 aspirantes a ese galardón, que, tras el fin de la asociación que la revista mantenía desde 2010 con la FIFA para su entrega, vuelve a ser juzgado por periodistas internacionales, sin la participación de los capitanes de los equipos nacionales y los seleccionadores.
La ceremonia de entrega se celebrará antes de que acabe el año y no a principios del siguiente, como sucedía en las anteriores seis ediciones.
El nuevo formato, desvelado el 20 de septiembre, elimina la etapa intermedia del anuncio de los tres finalistas y eleva de 23 a 30 los nominados.
En la gala de la FIFA del pasado enero, el argentino Messi se hizo con su quinto Balón de Oro, tras los conseguidos en 2009, 2010, 2011 y 2012.
Con el 41,33 % de los votos, superó holgadamente a Ronaldo (27,76 %), ganador en 2014, y al brasileño Neymar (7,86 %), compañero de equipo en el Barça.
El Balón de Oro estuvo en manos de Messi y de Ronaldo desde 2008, y se espera que en esta ocasión ambos sean de nuevo aspirantes con posibilidades.
